Diary of the Fire
In 1979, St. Peter's Church was burnt to the ground. The fire was started by an arsonist, who was later caught and convicted. The story of the fire, and of the rebuilding of St. Peter's, is told in a diary kept by the then vicar of the Church, Rev. Piers Warburton.
