Weddings at St. Peter's

We are delighted that by visiting this web page you are signalling your interest in having a wedding at St Peter's. Most residents of Yateley can get married in St Peter's after a very simple process of enquiry. There are however, two slightly more complicated scenarios:

The boundaries of the church's parish aren't quite the same as the boundaries of the town, so some residents may need to talk to a neighbouring vicar before we can progress. However if you have lived inside the church parish boundaries at some time in your life - for a minimum of six months - then the process simplifies again. You may also have a qualifying connection to St. Peter's because in the past you or a parent have attended worship regularly, or a parent/grandparent were married here previously. These things would also enable you to get married in St. Peter's. More information about these opportunities are at http://www.yourchurchwedding.org/youre-welcome/more-churches-to-choose-from.aspx. Our Qualifying Connections form is to make this process happen is downloadable here: St Peter's Yateley Qualifying Connections Form

If one or both of you have been married before and divorced, then we welcome your enquiry and will be glad to talk with you. However there are some circumstances in which those who have been divorced may not remarry in church.

As well as being ordinary and everyday, marriage is also heroic, demanding, perilous and full of promise! We believe that a marriage preparation course is important for any couple who want to develop strong foundations for a lasting relationship - whether or not they wish to marry in church. We therefore provide a Marriage Preparation Course which all couples getting married in St. Peter's are asked to attend.

Whatever your circumstances, we welcome your enquiry. Please contact us by email via  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .uk, ask for our booklet which tells you about planning your wedding at St. Peter's (including fees), and to be put in touch with our Vicar who will then talk to you about how to book your wedding, and prepare for your marriage.
